Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Georgia is seeking a phlebotomist to join the laboratory team. You will perform sample collection, processing, and support duties per Piedmont policies to ensure accurate patient testing.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of relevant experience, with enrollment in a medical tech program acceptable. Experience with EKGs and clinical lab procedures is preferred.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes is preferred.
• Experience in performing EKGs is preferred.
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests per CMS CLIA and Georgia regulations.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens according to Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
