Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to join our clinical laboratory team. You will perform sample collection, processing, and monitor tests in accordance with CMS CLIA '88 and Georgia regulations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience; enrollment in a tech program may substitute. EKG experience is preferred.

Competenze

• High School graduate or GED.
• One year of experience as a phlebotomist, laboratory processor or laboratory assistant. Enrollment in a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program may substitute for experience.
• Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes is preferred.
• Experience in performing EKGs is preferred.
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting is preferred.

Mansioni

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and the Georgia Department of Community Health and other applicable regulatory standards.
• Performs venipunctures, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
