Job summary

Foresight Diagnostics, a Natera company, is hiring a Laboratory Systems Scientist in Boulder, CO. You will support laboratory operations infrastructure as a technical SME, collaborating across research, regulatory, software and operations to enable robust lab system development and maintenance.

The role demands 4+ years of lab experience or 2+ years with an advanced degree, experience with CAP/CLIA environments, and familiarity with LIMS/NGS workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant laboratory work experience or 2+ years with MS or PhD.
• 2+ years in CAP, CLIA, NYSDOH, ISO 13485/15189 environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Experience with complex molecular biology workflows, ideally NGS workflows.
• Experience designing and performing validations and verifications, process development and documentation.
• Experience with agile-scrum and cross-team collaboration.
• Experience with laboratory batch records, LIMS, FreezerPro, and similar software.
• Strong problem-solving, risk management, and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent oral and written communication; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a technical SME for lab software and automation development and release testing.
• Collaborate to capture user needs for software and automation solutions.
• Develop and execute PQ, validation and verification plans per regulations.
• Draft reports and present data per procedures and guidelines.
• Identify and resolve equipment or test performance issues.
• Partner to support automation development and tech transfer.
• Suggest process improvements to protect and scale operations.
• Create SOPs, process maps, and training materials for lab systems.
• Maintain wet-lab proficiency when needed.
