Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in La Grange, Illinois is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team. Schedule: 1pm to 9:30pm, rotating every other weekend, with benefits from day one at this location (5101 Willow Springs Rd, 60525).

You will perform venipuncture and microtainer collection, label specimens correctly, and prioritize routine work while adhering to PPE and safety policies. Phlebotomy training required for certain positions; BLS and Phlebotomy certification

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training completed; required for some positions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must read/write/speak conversational English.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Transports hazardous waste and ensures proper handling.
• Performs venipuncture and microtainer collection accurately.
• Ensures specimens are labeled correctly and orders received properly.
• Prioritizes routine specimens; handles stat/alert samples first.
• Adheres to PPE and safety policies.
