Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supervises departmental technical operations and human resources.
• Promotes strong customer service with zero tolerance for poor performance.
• Acts as interdepartmental liaison between lab and other departments.
• Investigates specimen problems, service complaints and delays.
• Provides coaching and orientation to new staff and ongoing education.
• Ensures regulatory standards CAP, CLIA, ASC are met.
• Maintains documents and manuals and updates procedures as needed.
• Monitors workflow, staffing and productivity; implements improvements.
• May perform duties of Med Techs/Lab Specialists as site requires.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
