Job summary

OhioHealth Core Lab in Columbus seeks a Phlebotomy Technician to perform phlebotomy and a variety of technical and clerical tasks across the Laboratory. You will handle blood, urine, spinal fluid and other body fluids per established guidelines, ensuring safety and excellent patient care.

The role requires teamwork, strong communication with clinicians and staff, and adherence to CAP/OSHA/JCAHO/CMS standards. Night shift, 40 hours weekly, on-site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patients and staff.
• Able to adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• 70% Phlebotomy and specimen processing per location.
• 15% Associated computer tasks (LIS, e-Source).
• 5% Training new employees and students.
• 5% Regulatory compliance (CAP/OSHA/JCAHO/CMS).
• 5% Maintaining competencies and education.
