Are you an experienced clinical laboratory professional seeking a leadership role? Do you excel in attention to detail, process management, and team leadership? LabCorp is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Team Leader to join our Ascension Columbia St. Mary's team in Milwaukee, WI. This role involves working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, aligned with our mission: "Improving Health, Improving Lives".

Work Schedule:

Flexible hours between Monday - Friday, starting between 2:30pm - 3:00pm and ending around 11:00pm - 11:30pm. Includes weekend and holiday rotations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the supervisor with daily departmental operations.
• Send production reports to management regularly.
• Participate in training new hires and developing current staff.
• Keep the supervisor informed of progress, issues, and employee performance.
• Evaluate specimens for testing acceptability based on established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex testing procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Prepare and evaluate reagents and controls.
• Ensure timely and accurate test reporting to support patient care.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control.
• Manage testing supplies and assist with specimen processing as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment with proper PPE usage.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local CLIA & State requirements.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Technologist.
• ASCP and/or AMT certification required.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures.
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Physical ability to meet position requirements.
