Fairview Health Services in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead the Laboratory Outreach team. You will oversee daily operations, staff, and quality of testing for outreach clients, ensuring efficient workflows and exceptional service delivery.

The role emphasizes collaboration with laboratory leaders, staff, and external customers, with a focus on cost-effective, accurate testing and continuous improvement in a 40-hour onsite schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related laboratory field per CLIA ’88 qualifications.
• Bachelor’s in chemical/biological/clinical lab science or medical technology with transcript provided.
• Alternative: completion of 50-week US military medical lab training plus degree with required biology/chemistry hours.
• Masters in molecular biology, biotechnology, chemistry, biology or related field accepted.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily supervision of the laboratory or section.
• Supervise employees with lab manager/director and medical director.
• Design and direct workflow within department.
• Lead team-building and conflict management.
• Promote clear communication with hospital staff and external customers.
• Oversee technical operations and staff performance in the lab.
• Ensure appropriate staffing models and budget considerations.
• Direct daily lab operations and troubleshoot lab functions.
• Oversee method development, instrument correlation, and validation.
