Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead the Laboratory Outreach department with direct supervision and operational oversight. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality testing, coordinating with hospital leadership and external customers, and driving continuous improvement in daily Lab Outreach operations.

Qualifications

• CLIA ’88 compliant qualifications or equivalent routes.
• ASCP/ASCPi/AMT MLS/MT certification within 1 year.
• Laboratory leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• 1 year of high complexity testing experience for baccalaureate degree holders.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily supervision of the laboratory or laboratory section.
• Supervises employees in collaboration with laboratory manager/director and medical director.
• Designs and directs workflow within department.
• Provides leadership in team building and conflict management.
• Assists in planning and financial management for the lab or lab section.
• Collaborates with manager on annual operating and capital budgets.
• Ensures quality control and compliance with regulatory programs.
