Job summary

Fairview Park Hospital is seeking a Lab Supervisor to oversee laboratory operations, ensure accurate testing, and lead a skilled team in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on quality control, staffing, and adherence to regulatory standards, with opportunities to drive performance improvements.

The position requires 3+ years of lab experience and appropriate certification, with responsibilities spanning staff development, scheduling, and collaboration with reference labs and outpatients.

Qualifications

• Certification: CLT/CLS/MLS/MT-AAB credentials (as listed).
• Education: Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience: 3+ years in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Lab Section Management activities including staff training and development, procedure implementation/monitoring, inventory management/control, quality control, performance improvement, proficiency testing, safety administration, productivity monitoring, and public relations.
• Perform STAT testing quickly and accurately, requiring multi‑tasking under stressful demands.
• Direct others as needed and supervise/evaluate Phlebotomy Techs and Lab Outpatient Coordinator.
• Maintain lab computer systems and ensure timely reporting and filing of results.
