Job summary

Avera Health is seeking a Laboratory Services Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and supervise the clinical laboratory operations at the Avera on Louise Health Campus. You will oversee human, technical, and material resources to deliver timely, quality test results under leadership guidance.

The role requires MLS/AMT/ASCP credentials, supervisory experience, and strong QA; you will lead staff development, ensure compliance, and collaborate with pathologists and hospital departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Transcript showing Medical Laboratory Science degree or
• Bachelor’s Transcript showing Medical Technologist degree
• MLS - AMT Upon Hire
• MLS - ASCP Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates laboratory resources, environment, and staff to assure quality services.
• Collaborates with pathologists and departments to deliver timely results.
• Ensures policy, QA, and regulatory compliance across the laboratory.
• Provides outreach client advisor and maintains client relationships.
• Serves as a primary resource for the laboratory group and participates in governance.
• Assists leadership with administration of laboratory services and staffing.
