Watson Clinic Laboratory is seeking a Lab Section Supervisor to lead Medical Laboratory Technologists, Technicians, and Assistants. The role includes scheduling, supply management, and equipment inventory control, while ensuring QA/QC and proficiency testing compliance across the department.

The position requires a BS in Medical Technology with approved training, plus Florida supervisor licensure and prior supervisory experience in a clinical lab.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or related science with approved formal training in Medical Technology.
• Minimum 6 years as Medical Technologist with prior supervisor experience in a clinical lab.
• Active Florida Supervisor license in Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Microbiology, and Molecular Pathology; strong QA/QC and proficiency testing knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, manage, and supervise Medical Laboratory Assistants and Technicians.
• Schedule staff, purchase supplies, and maintain equipment inventory.
• Evaluate staff performance and ensure QA/QC and proficiency testing compliance.
• Perform and supervise routine and complex tests as ordered by clinicians.
• Develop and update department policies and procedures.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance of equipment and testing systems.
• Provide technical support to staff and clinicians; resolve issues as they arise.
