Job summary

Halifax Health is seeking a Lab Section Supervisor to support the Manager of the Laboratory and ensure smooth operation of testing across newborn to geriatric patients in various sections. The role requires leadership and hands-on supervision in a hospital lab setting.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, 3-5 years of lab experience, and Florida licensure with ASCP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science is required.
• 3-5 years clinical laboratory experience required.
• 1-2 years supervisory or management experience required.
• Florida Medical Technologist or supervisor license required.
• ASCP or equivalent certification required.
• Must be skilled in testing for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision over testing in designated lab sections.
• Provide administrative supervision to laboratory staff.
• Assist the Manager of the Laboratory in daily operations.
