Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Supervisor Lab Section to oversee daily laboratory operations and assist the Core Laboratory Manager in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field, 5 years as a Medical Technologist/CLSLIA with at least 2 years in supervision, and CLIA General Supervisor eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or in one of the chemicals, physical or biological sciences or related field.
• 5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist/CLSLIA with at least 2 years of supervisory or lead capacity.
• Must be qualified as a General Supervisor as defined by CLIA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate continuous performance improvement in targeted areas of responsibility in alignment with the overall annual Hospital performance improvement targets.
• Meets or exceeds financial goals and objectives of the department.
• Manage and direct the daily activities of assigned laboratory work group(s) through appropriate delegation, technical skills training, and work supervision.
