Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sample Management Coordinator in Richmond, VA to oversee receipt, tracking, storage, and distribution of samples and standards. You will support lab staff with management processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, gaining exposure to clinical workflows in a professional laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in sample management or related lab operations.
• Knowledge of inventory management and sample tracking processes.
• Understanding of SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Receive, log, label, inventory, store, and distribute samples and standards according to procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and track sample status through workflow.
• Communicate sample status and issues to lab staff promptly.
• Support proper handling, storage, and documentation to maintain sample integrity.
• Review requests to verify compliance with SOPs and practices.
• Assist with CAPAs related to sample management.
• Train personnel on procedures and storage requirements.
• Respond to environmental alarms and participate in on-call support.
• Follow safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines daily.
• Complete tasks accurately within deadlines.
