Job summary

SGS Anchorage, AK laboratory is seeking an entry-level Project Manager Assistant to support the Client Services Team as a laboratory liaison and client advocate. This role handles bottle orders, change orders, login reviews, subcontracting, and PTO coverage while learning project workflows within the group.

The ideal candidate will have an Associates or Bachelor degree in science or related field, strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associates' degree or equivalent in sciences or customer service; 0–1 year experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field with 1–2 years experience.
• Exceptional communication and advanced English language skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Process sample orders for all matrices and coordinate delivery of supplies.
• Execute change orders based on client instructions.
• Review login information in the LIMS and request corrections.
• Inform clients of sample receipt anomalies and provide support.
• Assist in processing subcontract requests to labs and manage data.
• Handle overflow calls for the Client Services team and provide coverage.
• Provide back-up support for project managers within the group.
• Monitor TAT and on-time report delivery for the team.
• Assist login department in overflow/coverage situations.
