Job summary

SGS in the United States (CA) seeks a Project Manager II to serve as client advocate and laboratory liaison for a portfolio of intermediate-complexity projects. You will guide from quote through final deliverables and invoicing, coordinating with lab operations and the sales team.

The role requires associates degree and 2+ years PM experience; a science degree is preferred. You will train assistants, manage multiple accounts, and drive on-time performance while upholding SGS quality and client

Qualifications

• Associates' degree or equivalent industry experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as Project Manager I required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager I preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the main point of contact/client services representative for a dedicated list of clients of intermediate complexity and/or annual analytical spend.
• Assists the client with all project setup, including initial quote, supply order, sample receipt, data reporting, and invoicing.
• Fosters collaborative relationships with the client, laboratory operations, and sales to support long-term relationships.
• Acts as client liaison to the laboratory to ensure project aspects meet client and lab needs to meet TAT deadlines.
• Monitors project status and provides updates to client, lab operations, and sales.
• Documents and executes client requests including bottle orders, tracking samples, LIMS login, change orders, etc.
• Reviews project data and invoicing for accuracy before final reports are sent.
• Promotes SGS positively in and outside the laboratory.
