Job summary

SGS in Dayton, NJ is seeking a Project Manager Assistant to join the Client Services Team. The role supports project managers by handling bottle orders, change orders, login review, subcontracting, and PTO coverage, acting as a client advocate and laboratory liaison.

You will learn project workflows within your group, assist with communications, scheduling, and data entry in the LIMS, and help ensure timely delivery of analytical reports to clients.

Qualifications

• Associates' degree or equivalent industry experience in sciences or customer service.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail are required.
• Self-starter with strong English, math, and reasoning abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is expected.

Responsibilities

• Process sample orders and coordinate delivery and pickup of supplies.
• Execute change orders based on client instructions and modify chain of custody.
• Review login information in LIMS and request corrections as needed.
• Inform clients of receipt anomalies and provide technical support.
• Assist in processing subcontract requests and manage subcontract data.
• Answer overflow calls and support clients on sampling, reporting, and billing.
