Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Sales Consultant for Laboratory Products & Distribution to grow the Cardinal Health Brand and distribution services across a broad lab portfolio. The role focuses on delivering complex solutions, building and sustaining relationships with current and new accounts in a large territory.

The position covers Utah, eastern Idaho, northern Nevada and southern Wyoming; Salt Lake City is a preferred base, with travel required to call on accounts, attend meetings, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Previous successful sales experience in distribution or healthcare preferred; lab experience beneficial.
• Lives within the managed territory (within 30 minutes of city where largest prime vendors are located).
• Experience with Microsoft applications and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
• Understands the sales process in a fast-paced, highly complex selling environment.
• Must be experienced with business development and cold calling.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large territory with the objective to increase account penetration and customer satisfaction in the lab space.
• Drive new business, providing optimal service and targeting Cardinal Brand conversion opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners across national accounts, GPOs and vendors to achieve results.
• Lead territory planning, selling processes, post-sales implementation, and deal economics.
• Negotiate local contracts, including costing agreements with manufacturers.
• Ensure service levels and hold teams accountable for pricing, inventory, and contracts.
• Provide product demonstrations, samples, and staff trainings; complete admin tasks and SFDC reporting.
