Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona in Mesa, Arizona seeks a Laboratory Supervisor for the Blood Svcs-BDMC department. The role oversees operations, directs workflow, and drives process improvements using Six Sigma and Lean principles.

Base pay starts at $36.75 per hour. The position emphasizes leadership, staff development, budget management, and ensuring CAP/CMS/AABB/FDA/CLIA compliance to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Four (4) years’ training and experience in high-complexity testing in the respective specialty.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (preferred).
• MLS or Specialty Certification (preferred).
• One (1) year of supervisory experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains and conducts performance evaluations, and supervises the workflow for designated staff.
• Schedules and manages labor and resources within budgetary guidelines.
• Ensures accreditation compliance with CAP, CMS, AABB, FDA and CLIA; verifies OSHA compliance.
• Leads task forces to plan and coordinate activities to maximize service quality and efficiency.
• Serves as resource and liaison for timely information dissemination within the organization.
