Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a Phlebotomy/section supervisor who will perform advanced technical and administrative tasks at our Sun City location. The role includes shift supervision, quality control oversight, and participation in QA/QC programs, with input into inspections and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires one year of experience in an SQL/LSA clinical laboratory environment.
• Two years’ experience with leadership skills, training, or related experience is acceptable.
• Associate’s degree in Allied Health or related field preferred.
• Must be able to recognize problems, identify causes and determine solutions.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and regulatory requirements is expected.
• Strong customer service and advanced computer skills across multiple systems are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational oversight for the shift, including scheduling and workflow management.
• Support quality by reviewing records and ensuring QC/QA compliance and instrument maintenance.
• Monitor section finances, tracking supply usage and cost-saving opportunities.
• Participate in recruitment, training, coaching, and staff development.
• Serve as a resource and liaison to multidisciplinary teams and departments.
