Job summary

Desert View Hospital in a rural Nevada community seeks a Lab Manager to oversee clinical laboratory operations across multiple sites. You will direct staffing, training, and QA processes to ensure high-quality lab services. Coordinate with medical staff and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include cost containment, equipment installation, and implementing new tests while maintaining readiness for inspections. A related bachelor's degree and NV board certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with NV board certification.
• 3+ years leadership experience in a hospital laboratory.
• Experience with medical staff, administration, and nursing departments.
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies and accreditation of laboratory operations.
• State of Nevada General Supervisor license.
• Cerner Millennium training preferred.
• Managed care, utilization and standing order experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all general laboratory sections (hematology, chemistry, blood bank, etc.).
• Monitor test reporting, quality control, quality assurance, policies, procedures, staffing, supply management, equipment installation and inventory control.
• Staffing, training, and oversight of all technical and phlebotomy staff; coordinate with other departments.
• Maintain administrative, customer, employee, physician, and vendor relations; ensure CAP/state inspection readiness.
• Oversee multiple sites and work under Laboratory Administrative Director and Medical Director.
