Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Laboratory Support Operations Supervisor to oversee pre- and post-analytical lab activities across multiple departments. You will ensure compliance with SOPs, participate in audits, and coordinate interdepartmental workflows to support patient care.

The role requires oversight of phlebotomy and specimen processing, with a focus on staffing, training, and continuous improvement in a 24/7 hospital lab environment. Benefits eligible and day shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required per CLIA.
• Two years of laboratory/hospital operations experience required.
• Operational oversight of multiple laboratory areas.
• Two years phlebotomy experience or national certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Enterprise-wide Laboratory Best Practice Team involvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pre- and post-analytical functions across multiple lab departments.
• Ensure 24/7 hospital lab services with staffing plans for nights, weekends, holidays.
• Monitor billing-related issues and oversee registration, waived testing, etc.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission and SOPs; participate in audits.
• Manage HR tasks: interviews, orientation, performance reviews, training.
• Coordinate installation and rollout of new tech across departments.
