Job summary

Intermountain Health Layton Hospital is seeking a Pre-analytical Lab Coordinator to lead pre-analytical workflows and support operations across the laboratory system. You’ll apply critical thinking and teamwork to ensure accurate specimen collection, processing, and timely problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Two years of Laboratory experience. Required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of phlebotomy experience, phlebotomy training or national certification as approved by manager/supervisor. Preferred.
• BLS Required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee team training, check-ins, coaching, audits, and scheduling.
• Lead phlebotomy and specimen processing tasks in the pre-analytical workflow.
• Coordinate with ancillary services, nurses, clinicians, and clients.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring processes as needed.
• Maintain calm, professional conduct in stressful situations.
