Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Idaho is seeking a Lab Supervisor to lead and coordinate the phlebotomy department. You will oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and adherence to quality standards to ensure timely, accurate test results.

Responsibilities include maintaining regulatory compliance, developing procedures, mentoring staff, and collaborating with pathologists, nurses, and clinicians to optimize laboratory operations and patient care.

Qualifications

• ASCP/AMT certification required or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or health-related field.
• 3 years of experience in a specialty area preferred.
• Strong human relations, communications and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, orients, and mentors department colleagues.
• Plans and coordinates work schedules to ensure coverage.
• Ensures testing accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborates with pathologists, nurses, and clinicians to optimize lab operations.
