Job summary

Unio Health Partners is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee daily laboratory operations, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and lead a skilled team. The role requires strong knowledge of lab processes, equipment maintenance, and data integrity across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in lab management, a science degree, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with researchers and stakeholders while enforcing policies that meet CLIA, CDPH, and CAP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field
• 5+ years of experience in laboratory management or related field
• Strong knowledge of laboratory operations and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with laboratory equipment and software
• Ability to manage a team and provide leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of blood borne pathogen and bio-hazardous waste procedures
• Knowledge of CDPH, CLIA, CAP, and state/federal laws for moderate to high complexity labs

Responsibilities

• Manage laboratory operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation
• Manage all lab staff, payroll, scheduling, training, answer phone, and customer services
• Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained and calibrated
• Develop and implement laboratory policies to ensure regulatory compliance
• Manage laboratory budgets and expenses
• Manage laboratory data and ensure accuracy and security
• Develop and maintain laboratory safety protocols and staff培训
• Collaborate with researchers to align operations with research goals
• Develop and maintain laboratory reports and metrics
• Lead and develop the laboratory team
• Drive value through proactive ownership of new requests and opportunities
