Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Lab Resource Coordinator for the Delnor Hospital campus in Geneva, IL. This full-time, 40-hour position on the 2nd shift requires coordinating section staffing, inventory control, and supply requests to meet budget and patient needs.

Key duties include supervising staff, addressing workflow and equipment issues, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. A chemistry/biology lab background and ASCP certification within 1 year are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical lab science or medical technology.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience in a technical specialty.
• ASCP Board certification within 1 year of hire (MLS/BB/C/CG/CT/H/HTL/I/M/MB).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule section staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
• Oversee inventory control and supply requests within budget constraints.
• Investigate and resolve patient, technical, and workflow problems in area of responsibility.
• Lead staff development, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with hospital and laboratory policies and safety regulations.
