Job summary

Precise Software Solutions, Inc. is seeking an IT Laboratory Support Specialist to support a laboratory on-site in Jefferson, Arkansas, with possible remote support for other laboratories in the U.S. and rare travel.

The role combines IT and lab experience to install, maintain, and manage laboratory instruments and LIMS. You will train end users and coordinate with instrument contractors and dispersed teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a laboratory environment providing hands-on IT support or performing laboratory duties or a degree in a laboratory science.
• Minimum 2 years IT support experience with direct user contact and strong customer service.
• BioMedical IT experience or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment with safety practices and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents across Windows and Mac.
• Install and configure IT equipment and laboratory instrumentation.
• Log and manage service requests with the IT desk system and escalate where needed.
• Collaborate with dispersed teams and serve as the primary information source for the site.
• Provide day-to-day LIMS support, user training, and LIMS configuration.
