Job summary

Prophecy Technologies Corp. is seeking a Lab Engineer to support scientists with laboratory PCs, instrumentation, and devices in R&D. You will maintain and secure a large fleet of lab computers, image onboarding, network integration, and data workflows.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and security issues, collaborate with scientists and IT teams, and help implement validated data backup and incident management processes. Strong communication and proactive learning are essential.

Qualifications

Experience with lab computers, instrumentation, and data workflows.
Understanding of network topology and OSI model concepts.
Familiarity with Active Directory and endpoint security practices.
Experience working in Agile environments and in cross functional teams.

Responsibilities

Maintain and support computer infrastructure for scientists (approx. 5000 PCs globally).
Image/onboard new computers into domain and network; decommission end-of-life devices.
Secure and harden hardware; protect equipment.
Consult with scientists to support their equipment needs.
Troubleshoot data flows for scientific instruments and implement data backup on lab equipment.
Provide incident management and user support; assist with access management.
Test and validate software across environments; document procedures.
