Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a results-driven sales professional to cover California, Oregon, and Washington for the Clinical Laboratory Products and Services division. This territory role manages the end-to-end sale of capital equipment to hospitals and reference labs, building pipeline and closing complex multi-instrument solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience preferred.
  • Sales experience in the laboratory industry selling capital equipment to hospitals/ref labs.
  • Functional understanding of laboratory workflow and process.
  • Experience in complex sales environments with demonstrated success.
  • Successful negotiation, strategic planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage the sales process with competing priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong business acumen in complex sales.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (Excel) and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities and develop plans for introducing solutions with manufacturers and Lab Product Representatives.
  • Execute on business opportunities and maintain a robust pipeline across the diagnostic instrumentation portfolio.
  • Manage end-to-end sales process of capital equipment in clinical labs, closing system sales across multiple modalities.
  • Provide competitive differentiation and in-depth technical expertise to customers.
  • Assist customers in achieving defined business and technical goals, including pre- and post-analysis reviews.
  • Deliver tailored presentations and conduct system demonstrations; road shows and site visits as needed.
  • Apply knowledge of the customer’s business to present solutions that improve lab workflow and patient outcomes.
  • Negotiate with customers and partners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Build long-term relationships and maintain customer loyalty; complete SFDC records and training.
  • Attend sales meetings, trainings, conventions and trade shows; meet vendor credentialing requirements.
