Job summary

nVent’s Lab Internship offers a 6-month, full-time opportunity based in Anoka, MN. You’ll support the R&D Lab technician team and work with Lab Test Engineers on performance tests, agency approvals, and prototype assembly.

Rotations include Mechanical and Electrical/Control tracks with hands-on testing, data collection, documentation, and exposure to UL/CSA/NEMA/IEC standards. Interns are paid $25/hour and may receive a full-time offer if performance excels.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• Ability to complete a 6 month Full-Time internship from Jan–June 2027 in Anoka, MN.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Willingness to learn and to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support and participate in R&D Lab technician activities and tests.
• Assist engineers with design and development of test machinery and equipment.
• Update standard work documentation as needed.
• Provide testing and engineering support for various projects.
• Assist with lab improvement projects and test management processes.
