Job summary

nVent is offering an Operations Internship in Anoka, MN for a 12-week summer full-time program in 2027. Interns will monitor production, perform quality checks, analyze data, and support Lean principles while gaining exposure to global manufacturing operations.

Participants receive $22 per hour, relocation and housing support for eligible candidates, and paid time off/holidays. Transportation to and from work is the responsibility of the intern.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Current junior, graduating with an undergraduate degree between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future. Sponsorship not provided.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Willingness to learn and to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization.
• Ability to respond and adapt to feedback.
• Energy to listen, desire to learn and adaptability through change.
• Strong work ethic and personal responsibility.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Monitors daily production of various value streams and participating corrective actions.
• Conducts quality inspections utilizing quality tools.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations.
• Learn and support Lean methodologies and principles to become a Lean change agent.
• Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure procedures are followed and meet quality requirements.
• Coordinate the timely and accurate movement of material into, within and out of assigned work area as needed.
