Job summary

nVent is seeking a Packaging Engineering Co‑Op in Anoka, Minnesota. You will build relationships with cross-functional teams to support new product launches and packaging improvements, while conducting tests and analyses to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.

Junior and senior students pursuing Packaging or related fields are encouraged to apply. CAD experience is preferred, and the program includes mentorship, networking, and potential future opportunities within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Juniors and Seniors preferred (Graduating between May 2028 – June 2029) CAD experience.
• Candidates applying for nVent's Co-Op and Internship Program must have current work authorization and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. nVent does not provide work authorization sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with key platform and functional partners in order to support new product launches and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Conduct and/or manage packaging testing, trials, and analyses to validate and advance packaging opportunities.
• Lead collaborations with cross-functional partners to develop packaging solutions that balance cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Provide effective communication and documentation of work including test reports, cost analyses, and 2D/3D CAD concepts.
• Develop technical packaging material knowledge of a wide variety of materials and applications.
• Lead multiple projects in a cross-functional environment while delivering positive, effective results.
• Apply engineering principles and statistics to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
