Job summary

nVent invites rising engineers to join its Quality Internship for a 12-week summer program in Anoka, MN. You will support day-to-day quality activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop data-driven reports to drive improvements.

You will learn through structured training, mentorship, and leadership exposure within a global manufacturing organization, with opportunities for future roles and sponsorship where applicable.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management.
• Graduating with an undergraduate degree between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Able to complete a 12-week full-time summer internship from May/June–August 2027 in Anoka, MN.
• Must have work authorization to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship provided by nVent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Willingness to learn and to work collaboratively with all levels.
• Energy to listen, learn, and adapt through change.
• Strong work ethic and personal responsibility to see tasks through.

Responsibilities

• Support the production of high-quality products through continual improvement of process and product quality.
• Work with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality defects.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; make recommendations.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions using tools such as 8D and 7-step actions.
• Use statistical analysis software to develop and interpret quality metrics.
• Conduct quality planning activities.
• Develop and execute quality control plans and perform MSA, Cp/Cpk, SPC, PFMEA, and mistake-proofing.
• Other duties as assigned.
