Job summary

ARUP Laboratories, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeks a Lab Client Support Technician to provide technical and preanalytic support for a division of technical operations and clients. You will contact clients with specimen information, ensure specimen integrity, and facilitate test clarification while serving as a liaison between customers and internal teams.

Training on department procedures and LIS systems is required.

Qualifications

• College-level courses in medical terminology, biology, communications or related life sciences preferred.
• Experience in a clinical or laboratory setting preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and preanalytic support for a designated division of technical operations and clients.
• Communicates specimen information (integrity, volume, test clarification, missing specimens) to clients.
• Builds and maintains customer relationships through professional and empathetic communication.
• Documents customer communications, resolutions, issues and follow-up.
• Liaises between technical sections and customers; supports education and troubleshooting for resources.
