Job summary

Fairview is seeking a Laboratory Care Technician to join the team at M Health Fairview Clinic - New Brighton. Primary scheduled hours are 7:00am to 2:00pm Monday through Friday, with occasional schedule flexibility as needed.

The LCT performs laboratory specimen collection across Fairview or outreach locations and enters orders into the Laboratory Information System. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen handling, quality control, and providing results in LIS/HIS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher with phlebotomy training.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy education program or equivalent experience.
• 3 months of full-time phlebotomy and lab experience or active MLT/MLS enrollment.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work under stress.

Responsibilities

• Obtain biological specimens following SOPs.
• Perform phlebotomy at multiple sites and handle specimens properly.
• Enter orders and collection data into LIS/LIS subsystems accurately.
• Provide results in LIS/HIS and assist with testing procedures.
• Maintain quality control, safety and infection control practices.
