Job summary

HighRes in Beverly, MA seeks an Applications Specialist – Laboratory Automation to translate customer requirements into technical solutions, support sales opportunities, and hand off to deployment teams for successful installations.

You will analyze RFPs, design workflows, draft proposals, and work with project managers on deployments, while staying current with industry trends. Domestic and international travel will be required.

Qualifications

BS in Scientific/Engineering discipline required.
Minimum five years' experience in biotechnology automation.
Experience with automated laboratory systems in high-throughput settings.
Excellent communication, presentation, customer service and negotiation skills.
Domestic and international travel may be required; passport and driver's license needed.

Responsibilities

Analyze customer requests for proposals and define the optimal technical solution including workflow modelling and throughput analysis.
Compose skilled technical documentation for proposal and specification documents, provide presentations to support the sales process.
Work with Project Managers and Deployment Specialists to ensure accurate deployment of systems.
Assist with the development of client protocols that will run on our robotic systems.
Participate in conferences/exhibitions with sales team, and support marketing efforts.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry application trends.
