Job summary

PAL Solutions is seeking an Application Specialist in the Greater Boston area to develop, test, and validate customer-specific applications, workflows, and automation solutions in our Application Lab. You will collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Tech Support, and Development to ensure performance and usability in real-world labs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field or equivalent hands-on lab experience.
• Practical experience in analytical chemistry, laboratory automation, and robotics.
• Experience with application testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation.
• Familiarity with software applications, workflow automation, and scripting.
• Experience creating technical documentation, validation reports, and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Test and validate customer-specific applications, digital solutions, and automation workflows.
• Support proof-of-concept studies and feasibility assessments for projects.
• Provide on-site support during implementation and validation activities at customer labs.
• Conduct functional, performance, and usability testing of applications and tools.
• Evaluate user experience and provide feedback to Product Management and Development.
• Create test reports, validation records, and SOPs; maintain technical documentation.
• Deliver application guidance, scripting support, and user training with Technical Support.
• Drive continuous improvement of applications and workflows regarding functionality, quality, and adoption.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to meet business requirements.
