• May assist in communication to customers, floors, physicians regarding problem and/or pending specimens.
• Requires 2+ years experience performing registration, clerical duties, and sending out of specimen processing.
• Protects sensitive and confidential information by actively participating in the Privacy

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens, process specimens, submit and monitor specimens to referral laboratories.
• Manage patient registration and order entry procedures with accuracy.
• Label and prepare specimens for testing and referral labs.
• Perform venipunctures/finger sticks per patient needs and hospital protocols.
• Maintain documentation and ensure timely turnaround times for referrals.
