Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Anderson, IN invites applications for Lab Assistant II. The position is Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM with rotational weekend duties, supporting laboratory staff in routine specimen handling, labeling, and preparation.

Pay starts at $17.20 per hour, with potential shift differentials of 10% for some second shift hours and 15% for some third shift hours. Eligible employees may participate in annual incentive plans and a comprehensive benefits program as

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory environment.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of lab safety and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive, label, and prepare specimens.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation (labels, uncapping, aliquoting, racks, worklists, enter/scan specimens).
• Record digital temperatures and notify licensed personnel if out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Prepare chemicals, reagents, and solutions.
• Keep work area and equipment clean and organized.
• Enter data in the LIS and perform QA/QC duties.
• Complete training and competency checklists; follow health and safety policies.
