Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Assistant II in Evansville, IN. The role runs Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm with rotating weekends, offering a 10% evening shift differential and starting pay around $17.20 per hour. You will perform routine lab tasks to support staff and ensure accurate production.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, LIS data entry, basic instrument maintenance and adherence to safety policies. A minimum one year of full-time lab experience is required.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Florida Only requirement as listed.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receiving, labeling, handling and preparation.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation and loading of instruments.
• Record digital temperature and notify licensed personnel if out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Enter data in laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Comply with health and safety policies and use PPE as required.
