Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for a Monday–Friday schedule, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with weekend rotation. The role performs moderate to high complexity tests, ensuring quality control and accurate reporting for physician review.

Minimum one year of clinical lab experience; BS/BA in MT, Chemistry or Biology preferred. ASCP certification preferred. Competitive pay with potential shift differentials and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of full-time experience or training in a clinical laboratory setting.
• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology or an associate degree in Laboratory Science/Medical Technology.
• ASCP Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests of moderate/high complexity with independent judgment.
• Support QA, troubleshooting, instrument maintenance, staff training and process improvement.
• Perform and report tests per SOPs and ensure QC requirements are met.
• Adhere to lab policies for specimen handling, analysis, and recordkeeping.
• Maintain turnaround times including STAT/critical results and document deviations.
• Enter results into LIS for physician review and interpretation.
