• Receive and quarantine all specimen packages.
• Open and sort specimens.
• Check specimens for acceptance criteria.
• Separate and properly code all non-testable specimens.
• Enter and verify all specimen information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Assist in strip manufacturing duties, including cutting and preparing strips for coating.
• Receive and log deliveries of laboratory supplies.
• Assist in manual entry and verification of laboratory results.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Laboratory Manager and/or Laboratory Supervisor.

Work Environment

Training is conducted Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5:30 pm, transitioning to a second shift schedule of 2:30 pm to 11 pm with weekend coverage. The workplace includes an office building with a call center, laboratory, and clerical area. Dress attire requires long pants, a t-shirt, closed-toed shoes, and lab coats when handling specimens. The company culture is supportive and fun, with various team-building activities, dress-down days, talent shows, and fashion shows.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
