About the Role
The Laboratory Assistant plays an essential role in the fertility journey by providing critical support in both the andrology and endocrinology laboratories. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, compassionate, and excel in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Working closely with laboratory leadership, physicians, nurses, and technical staff, the Laboratory Assistant ensures timely and accurate processing, contributing directly to patient care, treatment success, and overall clinical outcomes.
We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join our dedicated team at IVF1, located in Naperville, Illinois. This is a full-time, onsite position, working Monday–Friday from 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM. Occasional weekends and holidays may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Manage packing, shipping, receiving, and documentation of cryopreserved reproductive specimens (oocytes, embryos, sperm).
Serve as the primary patient contact for specimen disposition and transportation.
Ensure accurate consent verification and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
Respond to patient inquiries via portal, email, and phone; assist with authorization forms via video conferencing.
Coordinate with external labs, couriers, and patients for record collection and shipment scheduling.
Maintain updated paper and electronic records; follow all SOPs.
Perform clerical duties and support additional projects or tasks as assigned.
Position Requirements
