Position Overview

• Full-Time, 40 hours/week
• Location: Schaumburg

Responsibilities

• Perform Laboratory procedures under supervision, including Phlebotomy, General Laboratory, and Processing tasks.
• Monitor and manage supplies and inventory.
• Handle samples: centrifugation, storage, retrieval, and disposal of expired samples.
• Assist technologists with specimen processing and testing.
• Perform water testing and system maintenance.
• Manage lab documentation and communication, including copying, faxing, and monitoring pending lists.
• Perform end-of-shift cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Assist with specialized tests such as bone marrows, post-vasectomy slides, and Clinitek QC.
• Prepare specimens for various testing platforms and maintain sample storage.
• Make packing lists during analyzer downtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a Phlebotomist (1+ years preferred).
• Moderate knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong verbal, written, and clerical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, especially via phone.

Additional Details

Pay range: $16.30 - $24.50/hr, depending on experience and other factors. Total compensation may include shift differentials, bonuses, and incentives.
