Job summary

Wheely is launching in Los Angeles and is hiring a General Manager to lead the market from day one. You will build the founding team, secure the fleet and chauffeurs, establish the operation, and own the P&L and brand in LA. You will report to the CEO and work with the US expansion team.

LA is a pivotal market with intense luxury and entertainment activity. The role requires 7+ years of operating experience, with finance or consulting backgrounds valued, and LA residency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM or Economics from a leading university.
• Minimum 7 years of total experience, including 5+ years in high-growth tech, investment banking, strategy consulting, VC or private equity.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical / problem-solving skills.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Based in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

• P&L responsibility for Los Angeles.
• The offline product: pricing, availability and fleet composition.
• Four local teams: Driver Operations, Quality & Training (Chauffeur Academy), Sales (Wheely for Business), Marketing.
• Launch and expansion strategy across Los Angeles and surrounding markets.
• Drive business development, identifying and capitalising on new opportunities for growth and partnerships.
• Collaboration with central Product team on the passenger and chauffeur experience.
• Regulatory strategy: navigating California's licensing and compliance landscape.
• External representation: press, partnerships and key stakeholder engagement.
