Job summary

Vesta Home is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to serve as a trusted HR partner for our Los Angeles team. Based in Los Angeles, this in-person role works with employees and managers across the full lifecycle—from onboarding and day‑to‑day HR support through performance management and off‑boarding—while helping ensure our HR practices are compliant and scalable.

Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the HR Manager will be a broad‑based generalist with strength in employee relations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally in a generalist, HRBP, or HR Manager role.
• Strong hands-on experience with employee relations, investigations, performance management, and terminations.
• Knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance.
• Experience supporting hourly/frontline workforce (warehouse/logistics) preferred.
• Experience administering HRIS and maintaining accurate data.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR resource for employees and managers in LA operations.
• Partner with managers on employee relations, coaching, and investigations.
• Conduct workplace investigations and document findings.
• Coach managers on people management and policy application.
• Support onboarding/offboarding and maintain HR data.
• Ensure compliance and audit-ready records.
• Oversee LA workplace operations and coordinate vendors.
• Lead employee engagement and events.
• Support HR programs and data-driven process improvements.
