Vesta Innovations Inc. is seeking a strategic HR leader to own end-to-end programs: leveling framework, management development, and a coherent compensation philosophy.

You’ll partner with engineering managers, drive performance conversations, calibrations, and employee relations while ensuring compliance across states.

This remote-friendly role offers an opportunity to scale people practices as the company grows, focusing on hiring, culture, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Design the leveling framework and define promotion standards across functions.
• Turn the leveling framework into development plans and calibration conversations.
• Create a management development program for new and existing people managers.
• Own and articulate the company’s compensation philosophy, structuring cash, equity, and bonuses.
• Partner with engineering managers to handle performance, promotions, and ER cases.
• Ensure multi-state employment law compliance and maintain robust HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead leveling design and ensure consistency as roles evolve.
• Develop conversations around development plans and career progression.
• Build a scalable management development program for new managers.
• Own comp philosophy and ensure clear compensation structures.
• Serve as trusted HR partner to management across the company.
• Manage employee relations and ensure compliant employment practices across states.
