Job summary

TEKsystems c/o Allegis Group is seeking experienced L2 Data Center Technicians to support rapid response projects across the United States. The role requires hands-on cabling, fiber optic and coaxial work, and the ability to travel up to 75% for nationwide deployments.

You will join a team that establishes processes and execution standards at new project locations, then transitions work to larger implementation teams as projects scale.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Center Technician or similar.
• Hands-on cable pulling and terminating in data centers.
• Experience with fiber optic and coaxial cabling.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and migrate structured cabling in data centers.
• Pull, route, terminate, label, and test fiber optic and coaxial cables.
• Troubleshoot physical layer connectivity and cabling issues.
• Support data center upgrades and modernization initiatives.
• Document work and maintain accurate installation records.
• Travel to data center locations nationwide for deployments.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams for successful execution.
