Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking Travel Technicians to install low voltage wiring and equipment (IP cameras, WAPs, routers, switches) at sites nationwide. Expect 2–10 months on the road per assignment, with a partner; 6 days a week on-site.

Per diem and company vehicle are provided; about 70-hour weeks with overtime. Qualifications include readiness to travel to Lowell, AR for orientation, valid license, and prior data cable/telecom experience.

Qualifications

• Willingness and financial ability to travel nationwide across the USA.
• 100% travel with long durations on project sites; on-site in various locations.
• Experience as a Data Cable Technician or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Pull and terminate low voltage cable.
• Install network equipment within commercial settings.
• Follow instructions and code when pulling cable.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
• Ensure cables are neatly tied and bundled per safety regulations.
• Install cable support structures such as j-hooks and cable racks.
• Test newly installed cable systems and devices to ensure operation.
• Troubleshoot issues with the cable network.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Adhere to project safety requirements set by client or OSHA.
